Cracking little thing
Date:29 March 2011
Pros: Performance, Easy to Use
Great product, not going to win any design awards but great in what it does. We have done shanks, Randang, irish stew, osso buco with bacon bones, chicken and veg curry... all to total satisfaction. Get some gravy beef or skirt steak... make an irish stew and you will be in heaven. Just buy the cheapest cut of meat you can find for best results. Only issue with this thing is the crock insert is a bit heavy large and awkward. Need to take care when cleaning it but honestly its a minor concern.

If you like a SLOW cooker
Date:1 June 2010
Pros: Value for Money, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, great on low setting
Unlike other slow cookers I have used - this one is great for doing "slow" cooking, ie - overnight / long periods. I couldnt get it to "boil" on the high setting - but that isnt what I was after anyway. It doesnt "boil" as much as others due to the all around element. Because of the side elements in the casing - it likes to be at least half full - so its not best for small quantities. If you like to do SLOW cooking on the LOW setting - then this is a good choice. It doesnt have an "auto" setting - but for me - thats a PLUS. And compare the price to other models and you will find good value here.
